Connecting to Offline Office Developer Help

We are changing the way we deliver developer Help. As of 5/1/2014, developer Help will not be available on Office.com. For context-sensitive (F1) developer Help in Office 2010 or Office 2007, change your default Help search settings in the Help window to use Offline Help, using the steps below. After you’ve made this change in one Office client application, you won’t need to change it again in that application, or in any other one, unless you attempt to reconnect to Office.com.

To change the default developer Help connection status to Offline in Office 2010 and Office 2007
  1. In any Office application that has a Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) object model, press Alt + F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor (VBE).

  2. In the VBE, choose Help>Microsoft Visual Basic Help.

  3. In the Help window, in the lower right-hand corner, choose Connected to Office.com.
